New Children's Book Cover

I'm writing a book called "Invasion" about a rabbit who is a gardener. He has a problem growing his crops until he meets what seem to be a pesky swarm of ladybugs. He tries to get rid of them until he ultimately learns that they help his plants grow!

This is the cover for the book:

Spring Break Project (Day I)

Last March I did a self motivated project for Spring Break. My goal was to write one new song everyday and post a video of said new song each day. I've decided to keep the new tradition alive this year and begin the project again. So this is day 1! (To see last years spring break videos, please click here Alexandria Marie Compo (Youtube)

Music Videos

I like to edit video and animate, but I don't get to do it very often. This was a quick video I made for a song I wrote called "If I Ever Found Love"

If I Ever Found Love

For my Astronomy Final I used some similar footage to create this video about "Dark Energy" It's pretty silly!

Please also feel free to check out any of my other videos. They are just of me playing and singing songs I've written but haven't recorded (at least at the time the videos were posted) Also if you'd like, again, my music page is located at:

Watercoloring

Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums to use, here are some watercolors I've done!

Children's Books

I wrote a Children's book last semester about a frog who has a craving for ice cream but can't find a kind that's just right for him, here are a few of the paintings from it!

Some Random Stuff

Here are a few random pieces from this year.

Sometimes in Illustration you have to illustrate things you don't want to, but I try to make them fun for me even when I don't like the content.

Pen and Ink drawing

We had to illustrate our favorite movie scene. Labyrinth isn't my favorite movie anymore, but it was a big part of my childhood, and this was my favorite part. I used to watch it over and over again and dance to it:

Design is pretty sparse here but these are some logo designs for a company called "BLink":

T-Shirt Design (if you want a t-shirt done for something I'm totally down with that):

The First.

So here is the first post! I don't even know what to post first because there is so much to catch up on, so I will post a few posts of some old art from my freshman and sophomore years!

I actually used to be a painting major before I switched to illustration. There is still a great deal of love for fine arts in my heart as much as I have come to appreciate what I've learned in communications. Here are some paintings I've done in oil.

I don't do too much design, but it's refreshing to do it sometimes. This is a book cover for one of my favorite books "Franny and Zooey" by J.D. Salinger:

Some photography! I try to bring a camera everywhere I go, even if it's a crappy camera phone, when I forget one there is always something I want to photograph. This is very practical advice I took from a designer named Scott Clum (check him out)!:

These are some illustration assignments:

These are some posters I've done in the past.
