Sometimes Abstract

There is this great program called "Painter" we became acquainted with for my digital painting class. The draw back is that it only allows you to produce artwork for the web, meaning everything is created at 72 dpi. They have some really awesome brushes though that look very much like oil paint, watercolor, etc. They've outdone Photoshop in that department, so I have been playing around with the brushes. I did a few abstract "paintings" in Painter for fun. I really like to abstract paint (or paint in general) but paint is really expensive, so this was a fun, cheap, and clean alternative. I'll probably do many more like it before the year is out.

Abstract IV

I think the 3rd one is my favorite.

From the sketchbook (September)

Some new doodles.

I have bought these brush markers I've been having fun with. Here is a drawing I did of a field of flowers in the brush markers (sky in watercolor)

I was talking to a friend one day about this golden retriever I used to have that I really miss. I drew her in brush markers. Later I felt she needed a rocket strapped to her back due to her love for outer space and mid summer celebrations.

I'm currently going to be writing a book about a bear (who is blue). I don't want to give away the story just yet but these are some quick character designs of him and his best friend who is a blue jay.

This is him swimming:
